The City Council has reduced the price of the lot at 501 Pine Street from $10,000 to $2,500. The conditions remain the same and you must build a single-family home on the lot within 3 years.
Trick-or-Treat will be held on Thursday, October 31st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Turn your porch light on if you wish to pass out treats!
Grass is not to exceed 6" and is not to be mowed into the street as this clogs stormsewers and is unsafe for bicycles and motorcycles. No noxious weeds are allowed in the city. Please be courteous to your neighbors and to those using city streets.
It is the owner's duty to trim trees so that all branches will be at least fifteen (15) feet above the surface of the street and eight (8) feet above the sidewalks. All trees, shrubs, and bushes which overhang onto the sidewalk must be trimmed back.
A newsletter from City Hall is sent out approximately 4 times per year. It is intended to keep the residents updated on Ordinances that are pertinent for that time of the year and also inform them of news and upcoming events that are happening in the city. These are mailed to every house in the Reinbeck city limits. To view a copy of the most recent newsletter, please click the button below.
Funds have been raised for new playground equipment that will be installed at Elmwood Park this fall. Special thank-you to Erin Schildroth for getting this project started and for all her hard work in getting grants and donations. A special thank-you also goes out to everyone who donated to this project. Any funds that the city receives now will go towards the ADA compliant surface that will go under the equipment as well as a couple of benches and a picnic table. We will also be looking for volunteers to help set up the equipment this fall. A date has not been set yet, but if you are interested in helping out, please contact City Hall 319-788-6404 and we will add your name to the list. Thanks again for all your help! This will be a great addition to the Elmwood Park!
