The parks are now open. There are 2 hand washing stations at Elmwood Park. One is stationed by the playground equipment and the other is stationed by the tennis courts. These will be refilled weekly.
Please provide your own hand sanitizer and/or soap in case these items are unavailable at the time you use the park. No sanitation of the playgrounds will occur, so patrons are asked to practice social distancing and frequent sanitation of hands before, during, and after using the playgrounds.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this pandemic.
Elmwood Park offers soccer, baseball, and softball fields along with an aquatic center, basketball courts, tennis courts, pickleball courts, outdoor fitness equipment stationed around a walking path, walking paths around the park, and playground equipment.
Baseball and softball programs are offered through the city. In the fall, soccer is sponsored through the Cedar Valley Youth Soccer Association. A padded football league for 5th and 6th graders is sponsored through the Youth Sports Foundation. Volunteers coordinate the programs.
